Additional Assistance
ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE: Students for whom
English is not a primary language are encouraged to seek the assistance of Prof.
Irene Belyakov, our ESL specialist. Reasons for seeking assistance can include,
but are not limited to, difficulty understanding professor/instructor speech
and lecture, reading and/or writing difficulties, and difficulties in content-specific
reading and specialized vocabulary. Students may contact Prof. Belyakov at x5241
or at belyakov@geneseo.edu. She can then recommend WRTG classes or tutoring
help through the WLC or other sources.
