Academic Assistance
TUTORING SERVICES: The Physics and Astronomy
Department offers tutoring services to students in Physics 101 (N/Science
of Sound), Physics 105 (N/Nature of Light and Color), Physics 111 (N/General
Physics I), Physics 112 (General Physics II), Physics 123/124 (Analytical
Physics I and N/Analytical Physics I Laboratory), and Physics 125/126 (Analytical
Physics II and Analytical Physics II Laboratory). Tutors are students
chosen by the department. These services are available for approximately
10-12 hours each week; schedules are posted each semester. The Physics Learning
Center is located in Greene 135.
GROUP REVIEW: Group review sessions are scheduled
as needed and prior to examinations. Contact your course professor
to inquire whether group review sessions will be held.
DISCIPLINE-SPECIFIC PRESENTATIONS: The Department
offers a colloquium series every Thursday from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in Greene
104A. For more information, contact the Physics and Astronomy
Department.
