Alpha Delta Epsilon derives its beginnings from the Alpha Delta fraternity. In 1901 they became the Epsilon chapter of the Alpha Delta fraternity.

In 1954, Alpha Delta Epsilon broke ties with the Alpha Delta fraternity and has since been known as the local sorority Alpha Delta Epsilon. There are 2 other chapters at other college campuses.

ADE's original home was located at 28 Wadsworth Street where Newton Lecture Hall now stands. AD is currently located at 24 Main Street where they hope to find a permanent home after several moves over the years.

ADE is currently composed of 14 active sisters and a very large number of alumni. AD takes pride in having a non-hazing pledge program and also prides themselves on doing philanthropies for the Geneseo campus and surrounding communities.
