Self-Assessment
The
internet provides many opportunities for assessing your own symptoms
as a means of determining whether further counseling or treatment
might be helpful. Some of these types of resources are described
below.
iVillage Mental Health Quizzes--This iVillage.com page contains
quizzes on various mental health issues, including depression,
anxiety, ADHD, eating disorders, and alcoholism.
Depression-Info--This
site contains a symptom screening for depression and recommends
further assessment for those who score a 15 or above.
Are you in Danger
of an Eating Disorder?--If you answer yes to several of the
statements on this test, further treatment is recommended.
Mental
Health Screening Program--The SUNY Geneseo Counseling Services
Self-Help page offers anonymous online screenings for depression,
anxiety, eating disorders, and alcohol/substance abuse. Your survey
results will be analyzed to determine if further assessment/treatment
appears warranted.
