Rocket, engine and parachute tests

Engine, rocket, launch pad and control system testing will occur during the semester with the help of two senior physics majors. A test bench for measuring the specific impulse of the rocket engines will be constructed. The bench will also be used to test parachute deployment charges. The control system for launch will also be constructed and tested. Given that the rocket engines produce considerable exhaust these tests will occur outside of the Greene building in a safety enclosure.
