To Request an Official Transcript
There are several ways to request an official transcript. The charge for each transcript is $5.00.- In-person requests. You may request an official transcript in person at the Office of the Registrar (Erwin 102). Payment is due when you place the request. Please allow 1 -2 weeks for processing.
- On-line requests. You may request an official transcript on-line through KnightWeb. Transcripts for graduation dates prior to 1990 are not available on-line.
- Requests by mail or fax. (See above for address or fax number.) Please be sure to include the following information:
- The years during which you attended SUNY Geneseo
- The name you used as a Geneseo student
- Your Geneseo ID number
- The address to which you wish the transcript to be sent
- Mail: A check, made out to SUNY-Geneseo
- Fax: A Visa, Mastercard or Discover card number - with signature and expiration date - to cover the charge for the transcript
Every graduating student will receive one complimentary transcript with their mailed diploma.
The Office of the Registrar will accept transcript requests by fax but cannot deliver official transcripts by fax.
To Request an Unofficial Transcript
You may request an unofficial transcript in person, by mail, or by fax. To do so, follow the instructions above for ordering an official transcript. Indicate that your request is for an unofficial transcript.
The fee for each unofficial transcript:
- $1.00 to a walk-in student for pick-up
- $5.00 to be mailed
- $10.00 to be faxed
