Eleanor Pfunter awarded 2011 Gloria and Van Quaal Outstanding Quality Service Award

Posted: Jan 1, 2012

After careful consideration, the Gloria and Van Quaal Outstanding Quality Service Award Committee has selected Eleanor J. Pfuntner, Janitor, Facilities Service Department for the 2011 Award.  Eleanor has 13.5 years of service at the College.

The nomination for Eleanor Pfuntner was the combined recommendation from the faculty and staff of the four academic departments housed in Welles Hall (Departments of English, Languages and Literatures, Philosophy and Political Science & International Relations).  All members of the departments personally endorsed this recommendation.

Eleanor takes great pride of her work and accomplishments and this pride is contagious to her crew.  She is an outstanding leader and role model for her team.   Eleanor and her crew consider Welles Hall a living environment, not another lifeless structure that requires maintenance and work.  This environment and the collegiality of Eleanor through her leadership set the tone for our own attitude and performance throughout the day.
