How to Apply
Step 1:
Complete the Common Application (preferred). Be sure to include the required academic/teacher letter of recommendation (while the Secondary School Report is required, a letter of recommendation from a school counselor is not required), co-curricular resume and personal essay. You may also submit the SUNY Application and SUNY Supplement.
Step 2:
Send the following to Admissions:
• Official high school transcript (electronic or paper transcripts are accepted)
• SAT and/or ACT results (these may be submitted through the testing agency or on your high school transcript)
Step 3:
Complete your Supplemental Form - either the Common Application First-Year Student Supplemental Application (available online as part of the Common Application) or our Geneseo SUNY Supplement.
Step 4:
- Ask your parent or guardian to complete our Optional Parent Statement.

- View information on our transfer policy for Advanced Placement/International Baccalaureate or college level coursework.
