3/1, 3/2 Cooperative Degree Program with Johns Hopkins for Nursing

Geneseo participates in a collaborative degree program with Johns Hopkins University in which you will receive a BA degree in Biology or Psychology from Geneseo as well as a BS in Nursing from John Hopkins in either 4 or 5 years (depending upon your grade point average during your studies at Geneseo).

 At Geneseo, you will major in either Psychology or Biology for 3 years, at which time you will transfer to John Hopkins to continue your studies in Nursing. After your first year at John Hopkins, Geneseo will award you a BA in Biology or Psychology; and upon completion of your studies at John Hopkins, you will receive a BS degree in Nursing.

 To apply, simply submit your application to Geneseo via the preferred Common Application (www.commonapp.org) or the SUNY Application, and complete the process by our deadline of January 1, 2012. It generally takes 4-6 weeks to complete our application process, so plan accordingly.

 It is very important that you clearly indicate on your application that you are interested in the John Hopkins Nursing Program with a degree in Biology or Psychology at Geneseo. If you are admitted to the College, you will be assigned an appropriate advisor for this program at summer Orientation.
