Tutor Information

SUNY Geneseo, through our Volunteer Center, wants to give our college students plenty of opportunities to interact with the surrounding community, and what better way than through the youth!  We are looking for responsible students to help spark a love of learning in young children within our county.  Your knowledge of English and/or mathematics, applied to a one-on-one or small/ large group setting, could assist struggling students to better comprehend the material and thrive within their classrooms.

After you apply for a tutoring position you will have to take a quite training course and then we will work to match you with a teacher in the surrounding Livingston County that requested extra assistance in their classroom.  Your placement is not guaranteed.  If you get placed with a teacher and do not have a form of transportation of your own, we will try to place you in one of our carpools!
