2012 AOP Summer Orientation Fees & Testing

STUDENT PROGRAM FEES

The participation fee for each session of the AOP Summer Orientation is $300 per week/per student (Please Note: The cost for EOP students will be assumed by the State's EOP grant). Fees cover all expenses, such as room, meals, course materials for Math and English, and academic advisement. All fees must be received no later than June 15, 2012 (unless you opt for the payment plan). Additional information will be sent to you via mail. Make all checks payable to " Geneseo Foundation - AOP-SumPrg".

PRE-TESTING SESSIONS FOR all AOP FRESHMEN

Summer Program participants (EOP & TOP) are expected to attend a testing session on either May 19, 2012 (for NYC residents and surrounding counties) or June 2, 2012 (for Upstate NY residents and surrounding counties) from 9:00 AM - 10:15 AM. The focus of this testing will be on creating a writing sample to assist in the placement of students in summer courses that are appropriate to their writing skill level.  

PARENT/STUDENT ORIENTATION (for EOP & TOP students)

The AOP department will also host a Parent/Student Orientation following the student testing on May 19, 2012 (for NYC residents and surrounding counties) and June 2, 2012 (Upstate New York and surrounding counties) from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM. During this orientation, specific information of concern to parents and students regarding the AOP department will be discussed, and all questions will be answered. There is no charge for this AOP Parent/Student Orientation. The dates and locations for these testing and orientation sessions are as follows:

Bronx High School for Law, Government and Justice - 244 E. 163rd Street, Bronx, New York 10451

TESTING: 9:00 AM - 10:15 AM

ORIENTATION: 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

*(Students must bring a student ID to this testing location.  Also no food or beverages will be allowed in the testing auditorium.)

STUDENT HOUSING FOR AOP SUMMER ORIENTATION

All AOP Summer Orientation participants will be housed in Livingston Hall. Specific information regarding travel to SUNY Geneseo can be obtained by clicking here. Please note that information regarding the AOP Summer Orientiation will not be sent to you via mail. PARENT & SIBLING LODGING NEEDS

For family members picking up summer program particitpants, campus lodging iis available in Livingston Hall on Thursday, August 2. 2012 for parents who will be picking up their son or daughter at the end of 2012 AOP Summer Program.  There is a fee for this accommodation, according to the fee schedule listed below:

This fees cover room and linen.  Parents should plan to bring towels and other toiletry needs.
