Buffalo, N.Y. – The Geneseo women’s swimming & diving team (2-4) dropped a 136-97 decision at Division I Canisius Saturday.

The Knights recorded three first-place finishes, including two in individual events.

Senior Elyssa Max (New Hartford/New Hartford) won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:37.63 and first year Jenna Gibbons (Staten Island/Staten Island Tech) finished first in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:42.50.

Geneseo’s 400-yard freestyle relay team of sophomore Abby Max (New Hartford/New Hartford), junior Corinne Vairo (Poquott/Ward Melville), senior Kaitlin Wilcoxen (Manlius/Fayetteville/Manlius) and sophomore Eileen Goralski (Queensbury/Queensbury) placed first in 3:47.62.

The Knights are idle until competing a Rochester Institute of Technology Jan. 11-12 against New Paltz and the host Tigers.
