Senior forward Ian Mort (Rochester/McQuaid) of the men's soccer team and senior forward Anne Beinetti (Honeoye Falls/Homeschool) of the women's soccer team were named to the Capital One Division III District III All-Academic First team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Members of the first team from each district are put forward to the national ballot for CoSIDA Academic All-America consideration.
Off the playing field, Mort (pictured left) holds a 3.70 grade point average in biology, is a three-time member of the SUNYAC All-Academic team and two-time member of the SUNYAC Commissioner's List. He earned the T. Fred Holloway Award as the top scholar-athlete in men's soccer in 2010.
On the field, he was the 2008 SUNYAC Men's Soccer Rookie of the Year and a second team All-SUNYAC selection and in 2010, he led the Blue Knights in scoring with 10 goals and two assists for 20 points on his way to first team All-SUNYAC. This season, Mort led the Blue Knights with nine goals and six assists for 24 points, despite missing five games due to injury.
A transfer student from Monroe Community College, Beinetti (pictured left) boasts a 3.44 grade point average in studio art and is a member of the SUNYAC All-Academic team.
On the field, she has risen to #9 on the all-time scoring list with 27 goals and 11th with 61 points in just two seasons. She set a school record with 17 goals in 2011 and tied the school mark with 38 points.
