2011-12 SUNY Geneseo EquestrianThe SUNY Geneseo equestrian team became the 20th intercollegiate sport at Geneseo in 2004. Head coach Kim Sanford is a 1977 graduate of SUNY Delhi and begins her seventh season in 2010-11. In 2010-11, the women's equestrian team completed their seventh season of varsity competition by finishing third of 11 teams in the overall standings in zone two, region two of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association for Sanford. Geneseo finished third in six of the eight shows this year, finishing behind St. Lawrence and Cazenovia. The Blue Knights advanced five riders to the region two championships, where junior Casey Williamson finished third place over fences and fourth place on the flat in the Novice equitation. Junior Erin Moran placed fourth in Advanced Walk, Trot, Canter, senior Ashley Kresge was fifth on the flat in the Intermediate equitation and junior Katie Roberts won a sixth on the flat in the Open class. Senior Carla Stephan competed at the regionals in Advanced WTC and Kresge participated in the ride off on Saturday, October 30 at Cazenovia. | Team Links
