Fredonia, N.Y. – The Geneseo men’s
basketball team (15-9, 11-6 SUNYAC) rolled to a 94-80 win at Fredonia6-17, 2-15 SUNYAC (6-17, 2-15 SUNYAC) in
State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) action Friday.
The visiting Knights shot 58.8 percent from the floor and raced to a 19-point
halftime lead. Five Geneseo players scored in double figures, led by sophomore forward
Gordon Lyons (East Amherst/Canisius), who netted 18 points. Junior guard Connor
Fedge (Bellport/Bellport) finished with 17 points and junior foraward Matt
Curry (Greenlawn/Harborfields) added 12.
Senior forward Ryan Riefenhauser (Dobbs Ferry/Dobbs Ferry) and junior forward Jordan
Jones (Rochester/McQuaid Academy) both scored 10 points.
First year guard Connor Keenan (East Amherst/Williamsville East) collected a
career-best eight.
Curry, Fedge and Lyons each pulled down five rebounds. Fedge contributed four
assists and three steals and Lyons had a team-high four steals.
The Knights wrap up their regular season Saturday, hosting Buffalo State at 8
p.m.
