GENESEO, N.Y. – Six members of the Geneseo softball team
have been named 2012 NFCA Scholar Athletes by the National Fastpitch Coaches
Association (NFCA). NFCA Scholar Athlete recognition is awarded to
student-athletes who maintained a grade-point average of at least 3.50 during
the academic year.
Junior pitcher Mary Bostwick (Depew/Oakfield-Alabama), an accounting major; junior
second baseman Jane LePage (Youngstown/Lewiston-Porter), a childhood/special
education major; senior outfielder Kelsey Ogden (Cohoes/Shaker), a speech
pathology major; junior first baseman Stefanie Rosenberg (East
Northport/Commack), a psychology major; senior catcher Molly Walsh (Lancaster/Mount
St. Mary Academy), a psychology major; and first year pitcher Nicole Zimmerman
(Canandaigua/Canandaigua Academy), an elementary/special education major; were the Knights’ selections as NFCA Scholar
Athletes.
