Prevosti

Head Coach Dave Prevosti

Head coach Dave Prevosti begins his sixth season in 2009-10 as Geneseo's women's and men's indoor and outdoor track and field coach. Prevosti led Geneseo to the SUNYAC title eight times in his four seasons (men's indoor-2005, 2006, outdoor-2006, women's indoor-2005 and 2006 and women's outdoor-2005, 2006, 2008).

Prevosti replaced Mike Woods, who relinquished his head coaching duties in track and field, but remains as the head women's and men's cross country coach and serve as Prevosti's assistant in track and field.

Prevosti spent three years as Woods' assistant, working primarily with the jumpers and gaining experience in all facets of the Knights' program including contest and practice management and recruitment of qualified student-athletes.

A native of Maplecrest, N.Y., Prevosti participated for four seasons of indoor and three seasons of outdoor track and field for the Raiders. His specialties were the sprints, sprint relays, long and triple jumps and he twice finished third at the National Christian College Athletic Association championships.

A 1996 graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College with a bachelor's degree in psychology, Prevosti served as an assistant coach at his alma mater for for four seasons and spent two years as the Program Coordinator at the Voller Athletic Center.

Prevosti earned his master's degree in athletic administration from SUNY Brockport in 2003, did his administrative intership at SUNY Geneseo and is a certified instructor in AED, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Community First Aid and Safety and Lifeguard Training.
