Salmon

Head Coach Jen Salmon

Jen Salmon begins her fifth season at Geneseo in 2012-13. Salmon comes to Geneseo after serving as an assistant coach for two seasons at Cornell University, two seasons at University of Rochester and one season at Nazareth College, gaining experience in all facets an intercollegiate volleyball program including contest and practice management, recruiting of qualified student-athletes, scouting of opponents and compilation of statistics.

A 2002 graduate of Ithaca College, Salmon was a standout setter for the Bombers for four seasons. On her way to four American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Region certificates, she compiled an impressive statistical record, which includes school records in career assists and service aces and single season assists.

A native of Brockport, New York, Salmon holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a master’s degree in sport psychology from Ithaca.

DLiberto

Assistant Coach Dan Liberto

Dan Liberto begins his third season with the Knights in 2012-13. Liberto is a 2010 graduate from SUNY New Paltz, where he spent four years on the men's volleyball team, with two as team captain. During his career he helped the team compile an overall record of 74-60. In his junior season, he earned NECVA Metro All-Division honors, and he currently stands fourth on the all-time kills list, and sixth on the all-time blocks at New Paltz.

Liberto was a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee, a multiple member of the SUNYAC all-academic team and SUNYAC commissioners list, and the 2009-2010 recipient of the New Paltz Sportsmanship award. He doubled majored in Geography and History. Liberto is a 2006 graduate of Rush-Henrietta High School and was a member of Pace Bootlegger Volleyball Club.
