GENESEO, N.Y. – The Geneseo equestrian team recorded 26 top-three finishes, including seven first-place efforts, in its two weekend home shows.
In Saturday’s competition, Emily Lockard was first in novice over fences and
also took third in novice on the flat.
April Krenzer finished second in novice over fences and Erin Seymour placed
second in beginner walk trot canter. Earning third-place finishes were Julianne
Batelli (intermediate over fences), Allie Catalino (novice over fences), Danielle McCrohan (novice over fences), Kristin
Rabb (advanced walk trot canter) and Lauren Weisberg (novice over fences).
As a team the Blue Knights finished fifth.
On Sunday, Lockard, who was Geneseo’s high point rider of the day, took first
in both the novice over fences and novice on the flat. Jordan Jones and Kelly
Yaeger also recorded first-place finishes (both in the advanced walk trot
canter).
Ashley Olin placed first in novice on the flat and second in novice over fences.
Ryan Lefkowitz finished second in open over fences and took
third in open on the flat. Danielle McCrohan was second in novice on the flat
and took third in novice over fences.
Catalino was second in the novice over fences and Rabb placed second in
advanced walk trot canter. Julie Philipson (novice on the flat), Alex Powers
(intermediate on the flat) and Erin Seymour (beginner walk trot canter) rounded
out Geneseo’s second-place finishers. April Krenzer placed third in novice on
the flat and Amy Malsegna was third in advanced walk trot canter.
Geneseo finished third in the team standings.
