Head Coach Nate Wiley

Head coach Nate Wiley begins his fourth season in 2009-10 after joining the Geneseo coaching staff in January of 2006, posting a record of 26-23-5 in three seasons and reaching the SUNYAC title game in hisinaugural campaign.

A native of Churchville, New York and graduate of Byron-Bergen High School, Wiley spent the 2005 season as an assistant coach at Geneseo after serving as the head men's coach at Chowan (NC) College for three seasons from 2002-04.

While at Chowan, Wiley improved the team's winning percentage for three consecutive seasons after inheriting a team that won just one contest in the two seasons prior to his arrival.

A U.S. Soccer Federation D Coaching License holder, Wiley's coaching resume` includes a three year stint as an assistant for both the women's and men's programs at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, where he aided the women to their first NCAA tournament appearance and the men to their first ECAC tournament berth.

Wiley takes over a storied women's soccer program at Geneseo which has just three losing seasons in 25 years of competition, has consistently finished in the upper echelon of the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) and advanced to the NCAA Division III national semifinals in 1994.

A 1999 graduate of Geneseo, Wiley was a two-time National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Northeast Region selection and a two-time All-SUNYAC defender. He played in five Empire State Games for the Western Open team, earning one silver and two bronze medals.

In addition, Wiley earned a master's degree in business administration from Penn State Behrend in 2002 and has numerous camp, clinic and club team coaching experiences.
