SUNY Geneseo’s School of Business relies heavily upon friends and alumni to provide advice, counsel and support as it continuously improves its programs to respond to the changing needs of business.
BAC: The Business Advisory Council (BAC) includes more than thirty business leaders located statewide and nationally. The BAC meets in the fall and spring under the leadership of Chairman Tom DeMott. The BAC provides business expertise, advice and resource to the School’s students, faculty and staff.
ACC: The Alumni Connections Council (ACC) numbers nearly 75 graduates of the School’s accounting, business administration and economics programs. ACC members provide feedback to the Dean and School regarding “best practices”, foster communication between the School and business community, and offer feedback on existing and new programs. ACC members participate in BAC meetings. Individual members of the BAC and ACC also assist with networking, placement of new graduates and internship placements.
SMIF Advisory Board: The Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) Advisory Board advises the SMIF students and receives their quarterly written and oral reports at Fall and Spring meetings.
