| In Brief: | When Professor Bossung joined the Geneseo Faculty in 1988, her primary upper-level teaching responsibility was Auditing. She has also taught the federal income taxation courses as well as assisted accounting majors in preparing for the CPA examination. Professor Bossung meets the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirement for her CPA licensure by completing 120 hours of CPE every three years, with a focus on topics related to her scholarly and teaching interests. For example, in summer 1999, she attended the AICPA/University of Illinois National Tax Education Program and completed successfully the two-week seminar and examination on "Corporate Taxation, Alternative Minimum Tax and Passive Activity Losses." Professor Bossung's research interests are in professional ethics, the scholarship of teaching, and pedagogy that builds professional skills and appreciation for diversity in the workplace. She co-authored Professional Responsibilities in Tax Practice, AICPA, in the early 1990s and its first update. She has co-authored articles that have been published in Developments in Business Simulation and Experiential Learning, Journal of Private Enterprise, The Woman CPA and The CPA Journal. | ||
