Suggested Activities for the Shadowing Experience

• Allow the student to observe a meeting (with other staff, clients, board members, etc.)

• Introduce the student to a colleague in the same or a different department and/or arrange for the student to spend some time with that colleague

• Offer to take the student to lunch and/or arrange lunch for them with a colleague

• Provide networking contacts

• Share with the student your own career development path

• Allow the student to listen to phone conversation(s)

• Share with the student other tips about how to enter your career field
