Summary of Current Duties
The Performance Management group is responsible for the collection, analysis and reporting of performance measurement information regarding the effectiveness and efficiency of the various programs and services administered by LMSB to ensure compliance with the tax law by the largest corporate taxpayers (approximately 150,000 corporations with assets greater than $10 billion). The reports are used for internal management purposes and for external reporting to the Treasury Department, the Administration, Congress and the public. The Performance Management group also administers ongoing customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction surveys and collects and disseminates data regarding our examination processes. We use this information to continuously seek ways to improve organizational performance and are responsible for ensuring linkages between individual performance objectives and organizational goals.

As a senior manager in LMSB, I interact regularly with the IRS’ top leadership and manage of team of 20 employees. I have substantial input into our strategic, business and operational plans and am responsible for the development and refinement of all of our Division’s performance measures.

Rewards of a Federal Government Career

The ability to have a role in shaping critical programs and services that affect the American public. In carrying out my program responsibilities, I have also had the opportunity to travel substantially, including an amazing month-long trip to Tanzania, Africa to work with members or the Tanzanian Parliament and Revenue Authority in building and improving their tax system.
