Salad fork? Seafood fork? Napkin in the lap or tucked in the shirt like a bib? What should be discussed or avoided in conversation? You may not know that lunch or dinner during a day of interviews is part of the interview process and the potential employer is observing and evaluating your behavior. Networking and etiquette in formal and informal professional situations is often a confusing maze for many during the job search or first years in a career. Whether your field of interest is human services, education, or business, knowing how to conduct yourself socially is important to success in your career. The annual Geneseo Etiquette Dinner will help you learn critical etiquette skills and knowledge. The evening will include a first-class dinner and dessert. Our speakers will guide you through the experience and even provide valuable tips on appropriate conversation. Business leaders will be hosts at each table. This program requires payment of $5.00 by check payable to GOLD and submitted to Center for Community in MacVittie College Union Room 353 by February 24th.
Presenters: Jonna Anne, Executive Chef/Assistant General Manager, Campus Auxiliary Services and Mark Cronin Class of '88, Division Director, Strategic Health Initiatives, Upstate NY American Cancer Society. Visit the GOLD website at http://gold.geneseo.edu or CLICK HERE to register.
