Career Planning

No matter what your class standing, it is never too late (or too early!) to start planning and exploring career options. One of the most effective ways of doing that is by making an appointment with a career development professional in the Office of Career Development. Along with our physical resources in the Office of Career Development Library in Blake A 104, there are some great on-line career planning/exploration resources. Here are a few to get you started:

Career Assessments
FOCUS - A self-paced online career planning tool for students and alumni with accompanying resources.
Strong Interest Inventory - A computer based career assessment based on interest for students and alumni. A follow-up appointment with an Office of Career Development counselor will help you to best utilize the results.
NEW!  Cool tool from the U.S. Department of Labor - My Next Move will help you reserach careers, browse industries or research careers based on your interests.
