A good way to learn about a person is by checking out some of their favorite links! I try to review the links periodically to make sure that they still work, but if you find any that don't, please e-mail me.
Amazon.com--Okay,
so I spend A LOT of time on this site, but it's not all
shopping: I review various products (mainly books and exercise DVDs),
and over the years, I've climbed to the Top Reviewers (I actually
briefly held the #1 spot in October/November 2008, but that didn't last
long). Ta
ke a look
at my
reviews, and if you see one you like, please consider giving me a "helpful" vote!
Video Fitness--This is a site that I visit on a daily basis; it is a wonderful resource for people like myself who work out from home. Be sure to check out the message boards, the video reviews, and the awesome video exchange (for registered users only). Also take a look at collagevideo.com, a retail site which provides 60-second clips of hundreds of exercise videos. (For more info on my own exercise routine, check out my Fitness/Reviewing page.)
Pointless Planet--This is a hilarious blog which offers parody breakdowns of some of the worst commercials on TV--you'll love it!
The 80s Nostalgia Site--For those of you (like me!) who grew up in the 80s and long for that decade of good music and good times!
Who Can it Be Now?--Can you recognize ten 80s bands from their photos alone? This is one of the few free games left on 80s.com.
The Unofficial Schoolhouse Rock Home Page-- I had to include something for 70s fans as well! If you want to sing along, go here for all of the song lyrics, including some .wav clips
Bully Hill Winery--The best New York State winery around! The history of their winery is fascinating--read how they lost the right to use their family name--and check out the cool artwork on the wine labels done by the winery's founder, Walter S. ______ (it's Taylor, but Coca-Cola won a lawsuit granting them exclusive rights to the Taylor name). Walter S. passed away in April 2001.
The Onion--Self dubbed as "America's Finest News Source," this parody newspaper contains hilarious articles; you're guaranteed to laugh out loud as you read about the latest "area man" antics.
Jump the Shark--I have to thank my brother-in-law for this one! Another great humor site, it rates when TV shows have "jumped the shark," or in another words, gone bad. Check out the site to find out how the site got its name.
Internet Movie Database--One of my all-time favorite sites. Look up any movie, TV show, actor or actress--great for settling disputes with your friends and family members! ;-)
The Toaster Museum Foundation--Would you believe there's a page dedicated to toasters? No, not people like me, but the actual appliance! Check out this unique site.
Donors Choose--Looking for a charity where you can really make a personal difference in the lives of others? Choose the one that best suits you at this site.
