CIT provides the following recommendations for your computer purchases. Please review this information and contact the CIT HelpDesk (x5588, helpdesk@geneseo.edu) if you have any questions or are uncertain of the specifications of a system.
NOTE: The below information is updated on a monthly basis!

Preferred Vendors:

CIT recommends Apple Computer and Dell for computers and Hewlett Packard (HP) for printers. We have state contract pricing and relationships in place with these vendors to receive replacement parts and service very quickly. Furthermore, we are very familiar with these models and their capabilities. Purchasing hardware from these vendors will greatly enable us to support you better as well as reduce your potential downtime.

Please contact CIT before purchasing if you are considering a vendor other than Dell or Apple so that we can assist in configuration and provide realistic service expectations. We are unable to perform warranty or hardware repairs on computers manufactured by other vendors. CIT does not provide hardware or software support for custom-built computers.
