Program Description:
In collaboration with Moscow State University, SUNY-Geneseo offers the opportunity to complete a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communication with a track in Intercultural and Critical Studies and a Baccalaureate degree in Cross-Cultural Communication from Moscow State University.
Students who complete the program receive a diploma from both SUNY Geneseo and Russia’s leading university, Moscow State University. Grounded in the humanistic tradition and in contemporary social science, this program combines skills development with advanced coursework applying theory to communication contexts impacted by culture and technology. The program is for students from Russia and the United States. American students will need at least an intermediate proficiency in Russian, and will spend their Junior Year in Moscow. Russian students must obtain the required TOEFL and will spend their fourth year at Geneseo. Sample Coursework:
Students enrolled in the Dual-Diploma program will complete courses at each institution. A general pattern of course categories is shown below. Because each institution has its own General Education (SUNY Geneseo), Federal Education (MSU), and department course schedules, semester coursework will vary for those attending either SUNY Geneseo or Moscow State University. Inquiries about a detailed semester-by-semester plan of coursework, including required and elective courses, should be directed to the Office of Dual Diploma programs.
