Special Placements

In addition to the many school districts we work with, there are a number of special placement possibilities that are available to Childhood and Childhood with SpEd teacher candidates and several possibilities for Adolescence candidates. The Student Teaching Office offers placements in several non-traditional educational settings which provide an opportunity to learn from educators who work with students using a variety of teaching strategies which can be applied to the traditional setting. These are "Special Placements" that require an additional application and the teacher candidate must have a GPA of 3.0 or above. They are listed below:

• Pathfinder Village in Edmeston, NY (Childhood with Special Education Candidates)   
  
• Strong Museum of Play, Rochester, NY (Early Childhood, Childhood, or Childhood with Special Education Candidates) 
• Mary Cariola Children’s Center in Rochester (Childhood with Special Education Candidates)  
• Hillside Family of Agencies - Crestwood Children’s Center in Scottsville and the Monroe Avenue Campus in Rochester (Childhood with Special Education Candidates).
