The Geneseo Knights are finishing the 2011-2012 academic year with six SUNYwide championships on the track and court, in the pool and along the trails — so far.

The men's swimming and diving team won its 14th consecutive championship. Geneseo has won 18 of the last 22 swimming and diving competitions. The women's swimming and diving team won its fifth consecutive title, and 19th win in 22 years. The men's and women's cross-country teams won the top title of the State University of New York Athletic Conference. Women's tennis and men's indoor track and field were also conference champs.

The college's record is nine SUNYAC titles.

Also, all eight senior Ice Knight hockey team players were named to the SUNYAC All Academic team with a minimum 3.3 GPA in the semester they participated in the sport. They are: David Arduin, Stefan Decosse, Cory Gershon, Clint Olson, Jimmy Powers, Jonathan Redlick, Danny Scagnelli and Jake Yard. Each player was recognized individually for having made the All-Academic team, some multiple times over their career, during the Senior Recognition ceremony Feb. 18.
