The college community has lost Richard Reilly, associate professor emeritus in biology, who died Feb. 8. He served as a Geneseo faculty member for 35 years, until his retirement in 1995.
Reilly joined Geneseo in 1960 and was instrumental in establishing what is now the Spencer J. Roemer Arboretum. It is a lasting legacy of his dedication to the college. He also planted several gardens around campus, including the tulip bed next to Bailey Hall.
