More than 700 alumni of all ages and friends celebrated the college and their Geneseo experience at last year's Summer Reunion.
Emeriti and current faculty are encouraged to attend the 2011 reunion festivities, July 8-10, to reconnect with former students, especially the Celebrating Geneseo's Generations picnic on the College Green at noon on July 9.
"Summer Reunion is the one time we have alumni from the last eight decades — all the way back to the 1930s — gathered on campus," says Rose Anderson, assistant vice president for alumni relations. "What a beautiful snapshot of Geneseo. It's the family photo album. We welcome all retired and current fauclty members to join the fun and come to reunion."
This year's theme is Treasuring the Tradition. (Watch the reunion video.)
Summer Reunion events kick off Friday with happy hours for class years and a special dinner for alumni who graduated 50 years ago, as well as other activities.
Saturday features alumni college workshops by Professor Beth McCoy, Distinguished Teaching Professor Robert O'Donnell, the picnic, a barbecue and other events, including a reception for the School of Library Education in Milne Library.
