- KinneyWendi Kinney, coordinator of Greek affairs and off-campus living, has been named executive director of The Board of Directors of the Northeast Greek Leadership Association.
She is continuing her full-time duties at the college while taking on the new responsibility. Kinney has been a member of the NGLA board since 2005, serving in various roles, including educational programming chair, conference registration chair and secretary. She is entering her 11th year as a professional in the field of fraternity/sorority advising. Prior to joining Geneseo in 2001, she worked for Sigma Kappa as the associate director of finance. Kinney has volunteered for the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors, SUNY Fraternity/Sorority Advisors Association and Sigma Kappa Sorority.
- Several faculty members and staff joined the cast of a Geneseo-staged comedy, "Museum," which was performed Sept. 28 through Oct. 3. The show examines how we perceive art and the often unexpected and outrageous effects it has on us.
Theater Professor Randy Barbara Kaplan directed the play, which featured a cast of 40, including numerous incoming first-year and transfer students. Faculty cast members included: Tom Greenfield, professor of English; Chris Leary, professor of mathematics; Jo Kirk, adjunct lecturer in sociology; Tracy Paradis, reference instruction librarian; and Tom MacPherson, professor of art. Languages and Literatures teaching assistant Marie-Alexandra Drouet assisted with the production.
Senior theater major Nicole Carson designed the set. Catherine Martini, also a senior theater major, created lighting design. Crystal Ferrell, visiting assistant professor, designed costumes.
