  • Distinguished Service Professor Richard Young was featured recently on the Northeast Public Radio Network's syndicated radio program "The Academic Minute," which highlights faculty discussing research or other topics. Young focused on his Grand Canyon research and how technology is accommodating a more accurate history of the canyon. In addition to the network, the program airs on more than 30 additional radio stations around the country. Listen to his 90-second report.

 

  • BonfiglioBob Bonfiglio, vice president for student and campus life, was recently elected to two positions of leadership in organizations and has published articles. He is serving a two-year term as president-elect of the SUNY Council of Chief Student Affairs Officers and a three-year term as a member of the American College Personnel Administration Books and Media Editorial Board.

    His article "Who Will Speak for the Higher Purposes of Higher Learning?" was published in the CSPA-New York State Journal of Student Affairs last May. His article "Intercollegiate Athletic Programs: Deepening Their Educational Impact," appeared in the July-August 2011 edition of About Campus.
