Just as the fall semester was to begin, 95 resident assistants and their supervisors explored some 30 locally owned and operated business on Main Street.
As part of the sixth annual RA Main Street Fun Fest on Aug. 20, the RAs visited businesses and then gathered in the Village Park for refreshments prepared by Main Street eateries. The event introduces RAs to local business and helps them to learn about the various resources available in the local community.
Bob Wilcox, Arleen Somerville and Kathryn Fitzsimmons, members of the Geneseo Tourism Committee, welcomed members of Residence Life staff at the event's start. The event is sponsored by the tourism committee.
