Every year, Geneseo faculty and staff help nonprofit organizations that offer assistance to community members.
This year's campus-wide State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) recently wrapped up.
"How amazing it is that we, as a community, raised $48,000 for local charities and that we are continuing the long history at Geneseo of supporting SEFA and giving to those who need it most," said Andrea Klein, director of campus scheduling and events and this year's SEFA coordinator. "I wish to thank everyone who made a contribution and who helped make the SEFA appeal a success this year. Every effort was needed and appreciated. It is in times like these, with so much uncertainty, that we should take great pride and comfort in knowing that we are a caring and kind community, and we are surrounded by personal generosity."
Klein said 229 people participated in the SEFA campaign.
