The Xerox Center for Multicultural Teacher Education is seeking assistance from faculty in identifying volunteer students who can serve as tutors for seniors in the Rochester City School District who need to pass five Regents exams this year to earn a diploma. The Xerox Center is working on the effort upon request from Superintendent Bolgen Vargas, who has asked local colleges to help those who have one or two exams left to pass.

Geneseo is seeking:
• 38 history student tutors to work on global and U.S. exam preparaton,
• 13 science tutors to work on Living Environment and Earth Science exam preparation
• 6 Math tutors to help with Integrated Algebra and Geometry exams.
• Spanish-speaking tutors are also needed since many of the students are English as a second language learners.
