Our faculty and staff play vital roles in fulfilling the Geneseo mission: to develop socially responsible citizens with skills and values important to the pursuit of an enriched life and success in the world. In turn, Geneseo offers talented and dedicated employees a vibrant and welcoming work environment encouraging professional growth and cultural enrichment. Geneseo is more than a place to work. We're a community.

Geneseo recently awarded its first Everyday H.E.R.O Award to Yvonne Mehlenbacher, who has been serving as a secretary in the biology department since 1995. The H.E.R.O. award is a new CSEA Labor Management award which recognizes employees who deserve acknowledgement for their continuous hard work, dependability and positive contribution to the workplace.
Mehlenbacher was selected through a campus voting process and was described as someone who does a superb job and not only handles her tasks quickly and accurately, but takes a proactive approach in dealing with situations before they become an issue.
If you or a colleague has received an award or accolade, please contact College Communications.
