| The Bear | The beloved statue atop the Main Street fountain. |
| Big Tree | The Big Tree Inn is located on Main Street. |
| Books & Bytes | The cafe that keeps you going in Milne Library. |
| Cardiac Hill | The steep hill North-villagers brave daily. |
| CAS | Campus Auxiliary Services operates campus dining services, catering, ID services, refuse and recycling, computer sales, laundry facilities, and more. |
| Corner Pocket | The "CP," located in the College Union, offers billiards, table tennis, air hockey, foosball, DDR, and Wii Games. |
| Geneseo University Bookstore | Located in the College Union, textbook supplier and source for Geneseo apparel, gifts, and more. |
| GFR | Geneseo First Response (the on-campus student-run medical emergency squad) or Geneseo Family Restaurant (on Main Street) |
| GOLD | Geneseo Opportunities for Leadership Development (GOLD) offers workshops and leadership development programs for all Geneseo students. |
| Greeks | Fraternity and sorority members. |
| The Greek Tree | This tree in Sturges Quad is one of the few spots on campus that students are allowed to paint - and the color changes frequently. |
| The Green | The grassy area in front of the Erwin Building - used for studying, playing, or lounging in good weather. |
| GSTV | Geneseo's own student-run TV station. |
| GUS | The Geneseo University Store carries essentials and is meal plan accessible. |
| I.R.C. | Inter-Residence Council works with the hall councils, assisting and providing programming. |
| The Knight Spot | Geneseo's dance club, located at the lower level of Blake A. |
| The Lamron | The college newspaper, available on Thursdays. |
| Late Knight (GLK) | Regularly scheduled, quality late-night entertainment during the prime social times of 10 pm - 2 am every Friday and Saturday. |
| LATS Bus | Livingston Area Transit System: Free shuttle bus that runs around Geneseo daily and also goes to Rochester on the weekends. |
| Letch | Letchworth Dining Hall: an all-you-care-to-eat dining hall serving north campus residence halls. |
| MJ | Mary Jemison Dining Hall: the dining facility in the center of campus with food court choices. |
| OA | Orientation Advisers are students who assist with your college transition. |
| PBN | Telephone personal billing number which is used to make long-distance calls from campus phones. |
| RA | Resident Assistants are students in the residence halls who help out with questions, problems, and safety. |
| RJ | Red Jacket Dining Hall: an all-you-care-to-eat dining hall in the South Village. |
| Roemer Arboretum | Beautiful park and research site next to Onondaga Hall. Features walking paths, native plants and a memorial to Geneseo Alumni lost in 9/11. |
| SA | The Student Association, the student government that represents all students. |
| Seuss Spruce | Go to Sturges Quad - you'll recognize the tree when you see it. |
| Sturges Quad | This is the grassy area in front of the clock tower on the Sturges Building. |
| The Union | MacVittie College Union is the home of campus resources such as the Corner Pocket, the S.A. Ticket Office, the Mosaic Center, the Campus Store, GUS, the Mailroom, a study room, and much more. |
