Span 102: L/Elementary Spanish II
A continuation of SPAN 101. Prerequisites: SPAN 101 or its equivalent.
Span 201: Intermediate Spanish I
Reviews the fundamentals of structure and continues to develop the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Oral and written exercises are included. Reading materials emphasize cultural and contemporary topics. Prerequisites: SPAN 102 or its equivalent.
Span 317: Phonology
This course presents an introduction to Spanish phonetics and phonology. It focuses on the Spanish sound system and its relation to its orthography. It studies different varieties of spoken Spanish and develops awareness of factors that contribute to dialect variation. Prerequisites: SPAN 301. Offered every fall
