As a member of the Geneseo Greek Community, you are likely proud of your organization. Whether it was being the first to paint the Greek tree, recruiting pledge classes, completing community service or having fun together, being a Greek was a defining part of the Geneseo experience for many alumni.
Today, fellow Greek alumni are challenging you to show your pride by supporting Geneseo in the first ever Greek Challenge! Prometheus/Phi Kap Bob Avallone '76, Sig Tau Eric Rorapaugh '89, Sig Ep Dave Firkins '87 and his wife Kathryn '87 P'15 have contributed $50,000 to challenge Greek alumni to support Geneseo by making an unrestricted gift to the College.
The Greek Challenge guarantees:
The fraternity and sorority with the highest alumni participation rates will receive grand prizes of $7,000 each!
Second place organizations receive $5,500.
Third place organizations receive $4,500.
All organizations reaching 15% participation will receive $2,000.
How can you accept the Greek Challenge and turn your donation to Geneseo into a $7,000 gift to your organization?
To qualify as a participant and help your organization win, Greek alumni need to make a $20 unrestricted gift to Geneseo OR match the unrestricted gift you made last year – whichever is greater. Learn more about qualifying gifts.
By making a $20 gift for Geneseo to use where the need is greatest and participating in the Greek Challenge, you will not only win bragging rights and a portion of the challenge money for your organization!
We will be posting updates on What Organizations are Winning and Facebook. Please encourage your fellow brothers or sisters to participate!
Thank you in advance for your support – and good luck!
