How do I volunteer to help?

If you would like to volunteer to contact your peers to help spread the word and solicit support, please contact Gina Scalise at (585) 245-5492 or scalise@geneseo.edu. Volunteers contact their brothers/sisters and encourage them to participate. Alumni volunteers will play a key role in determining which organizations win the challenge. And volunteering is a great way to reconnect with organization members!

How can an unrestrcited gift to Geneseo support the organization I care about? Why not just give my $20 to my fraternity or sorority?

The Greek Challenge provides Greek alumni the opportunity to multiply the power of their gift. By participating and making an unrestricted gift to Geneseo - you can leverage a gift of $20, $30, $40 or even $750, into a larger award of $7,000, $5,500 $4,500 or $2,000.

Unrestricted gifts to Geneseo provide support where the need is greatest - leadership training, scholarships, research, extracurricular organizations, academic departments and athletics.

Once you've made your challenge gift, you may make an additional gift for your organization or another purpose meaningful to you. If you were a former varsity athlete, your qualifying gift will apply for A Knight's Challenge also! If your organization no longer has a current chapter, you may choose to make an additional gift the the Inter-Greek Council, which supports all Greek initiatives across campus.

The sponsors of the challenge, Bob Avallone '76 and Eric Rorapaugh '89, Dave Firkins '87 and his wife Kathryn '87 P'15 hope that The Greek Challenge will help to build a tradition of repeatable annual giving at Geneseo.
