Motion 14: Standing Rules Clarifications

In order to improve the clarity of the Standing Rules of the Faculty of SUNY Geneseo, be it moved to amend them by labeling the headings with sequential Roman numerals, and by making the following deletions (indicated with strike-out text) and additions (indicated with underlined text).

V. TRANSMITTAL TO THE ADMINISTRATION (link)

1. All motions passed by the Senate that propose to change operations of the college shall be sent to the Office of the College President for approval.

2. All motions passed by the Senate that propose to clarify, establish, or change college policies must shall be transmitted to the appropriate administrative officer. A copy of such motions shall be sent to after receiving approval from the Office of the College President.

2 3. The above communications shall be done in writing by the College Senate Chair ordinarily within four days after the action.

5. The attendance of a simple majority shall be required for acting upon business.
