Submission Procedure

GREAT DAY General Info:

The tenth annual GREAT Day will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. This event will showcase the research, scholarship, and creative work of students from all schools and departments. In addition, this symposium provides an overview of the unique educational opportunities afforded through undergraduate participation in the scholarly endeavors of our faculty and gives recognition to the remarkable amount of research, scholarship, and creative work completed at the College.

All students are encouraged to participate and may do so in the following formats:

  1. Poster Presentation. Posters will be displayed for the entire day.
  2. Presentation or Performance. Time-limited presentations or performances which will be grouped into concurrent sessions and which may include: individual or small group dance, instrumental, vocal or theatrical performances; paper presentations; PowerPoint presentations; and readings of creative works of poetry, prose, and fiction. There will be four concurrent sessions during the day, depending on the number of submissions. Performances are also scheduled when appropriate throughout the day.
  3. Chamber Music Festival. Runs throughout the day in the College Union Hunt Room.
  4. The GREAT Battle of the Artists - Artwork Exhibit. a multi-media art contest open to all SUNY Geneseo students. Winners are selected by a panel of faculty staff and student judges and announced on GREAT Day.

All student submissions must be sponsored by a faculty member.
