SUNY Geneseo offers poster printing services for GREAT Day Posters. Poster printing services is located in the Duplicating Center in the basement of Welles.
Posters submitted to the Duplicating Center for Printing by March 28 at noon are guaranteed to be printed by GREAT Day. Posters submitted for printing after this time will be printed on a first come, first serve basis.

Posters must be submitted as PDF in the actual size to be printed (standard size is 36"x42")


GREAT Day provides $20 towards the cost of printing your poster, any charge over $20 is the responsibilty of the student.  Some academic departments will provide additional funding, please check with your faculty sponsor, department chair or department secretary. 

Printing fees are as follows: $8 per linear foot (42" width) for heavyweight paper and $15 per foot (42" width) for glossy paper. Posters intended to be kept for long term display should be printed on glossy paper. 


  • FILE:  All files should be at least 150 pixels per inch for acceptable quality. Files to be printed must be a single .pdf file sized to the actual size you want printed. The Duplicating Center will not resize or modify files. Use your last name to name your file.

  • DROP your file into the CIT Poster Printer InBox GREAT Day Folder.  
    On a Windows computer, go to Start - Run & type:  \\files\inbox\cit\Poster Printer\ ---> Slide your file into the folder.
    On a Macintosh computer, click on 'Go' at the top, 'Connect to Server...' and type in: smb:// printer/. Click on 'Connect', type in your Geneseo username and password and click on 'Connect' again. Slide your file into the folder.

    On a Lab computer, double-click the Inbox icon on the desktop, then navigate (via double-clicking) to CIT\Poster Printer\GreatDay. Slide your file into the GREAT Day folder.    Self Help: Accessing InBoxes and OutBoxes

  • COMPLETE Fill out an online request form (click here to go there).
    This form creates a "ticket" and you will receive an email with your request information. All correspondence for this poster will come to you via email in the ticketing system.
