The Geneseo Healthguards are a group of peer education students who volunteer their time to raise awareness about important college health issues like safer sex, responsible alcohol use, nutrition, stress management, healthy relationships, and sleep. Healthguards are trained in these areas by professional staff members at Health & Counseling. Healthguards are not experts, they are STUDENTS who care about Health & Wellness.

Healthguards present programs on campus such as Condom Bingo, Mocktail Mania, Sex Jeopardy, Your Life's A Mess Come DeStress!, Stress & Relaxation, Condom Casino, and the Fitness Challenge. Healthguards also do awareness campaigns such as Mental Health Awareness, Safe Spring Break, World Aids Day, National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week, National Nutrition Month, Sexual Responsibilty Month, and more!

Contact Dana Minton, the Coordinator of Health Promotion, to find out about Healthguard meetings. You can also email the Healthguards directly at hguards@geneseo.edu.
