Safe Spring Break DOs & DON'Ts

  1. DO NOT text or use cell phones while driving.
  2. DO carry and USE condoms if engaging in sex.
  3. DO purchase/bring bring along Emergency Contraceptive Pills (ECP/Plan B) just in case of a birth control "malfunction."
  4. DO bring along over-the-counter medications, such as allergy medicine, acetaminophen, and ibuprofen.
  5. Do consistently use sunscreen and limit direct exposure to the sun to avoid sunburn.
  6. DO travel with someone; DON'T go in unfamiliar surroundings alone.
  7. DO keep a close eye on your drink(s) – drunken or drugged individuals make easy targets for thievery and sexual assault.
  8. DO remember to help keep others safe; a life is more important than the possibility of into trouble for drinking.
  9. DO remove the labels from any subscription magazines showing you r home address as a safety precaution when traveling.
  10. DO keep prescription medications/copies of prescriptions on your person/carry-on luggage when traveling via air travel.
  11. DO make sure emergency numbers such as 911, parents, close friends, and ICE (In Case of Emergency) are programmed into your phone, preferably on speed dial.
