Labor Day, Monday, September 5, 2011

Classes will not be in session.  The College is officially closed and only essential services will be maintained.

 

Columbus Day, Monday, October 10, 2011

Classes will not be in session due to fall break (October 10th & 11th).  The College is officially closed on October 10th and only essential services will be maintained on that day.

 

Election Day, Tuesday, November 8, 2011

Election Day has been designated as a floating holiday for employees in the CSEA, PEF, UUP and M/C units.  Classes will be in session.  Offices will be open & employees will be expected to report to work.  Employees may observe the floating holiday with supervisor’s approval or will accrue floating holiday time.

 

Veteran’s Day, Friday, November 11, 2011

Classified staffing should be minimal and will require prior approval from the Provost or appropriate Vice President on the classified staff holiday certification form GP-8.

 

Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24, 2011

The College will be officially closed and only essential services will be maintained.  Supervisors should provide a liberal leave policy for employees on Friday, November 25, 2011.

 

Christmas, sunday, December 25, 2011 &
New Year’s, Sunday, January 1, 2012

Christmas will be observed on Monday, December 26, 2011 and New Year's Day will be observed on Monday, January 2, 2012. The College will be officially closed and only essential services will be maintained. Supervisors should provide a liberal leave policy for employees, from Friday, December 23, 2011 through Monday, January 2, 2012.
