Service Recognition & Retiree Luncheon

The 18th Annual Service Recognition and Retiree Luncheon recognizes faculty, staff and Campus Auxiliary Service employees who have passed five year marks in service to Geneseo during calendar year 2009 and we honor those who retired during the past year.

119 employees have reached five year marks during 2009 by completing 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service.  There are 110 faculty and staff with over 25 years of service to the College.  Each of these employees illustrate that Geneseo is far more than just a place to work.  It is a community of wonderful people who have devoted most of their working careers to making Geneseo the outstanding institution it is today.

We honor 11 faculty and staff who have retired during the past year or in early 2010. Each retiree receives an engraved clock and a SUNY Geneseo print, which is a gift from the Alumni Association.  Faculty and administrators receive certificates granting emeritus status, while staff receive certificates of appreciation from President Dahl for their service. Ten retirees also receive the College Council Career Service Award, recognizing 25 or more years of service to Geneseo.

This year we are pleased to present the Chancellor's Award for Excellence to a classified service employee as well as recognize the 2010-2011 Geneseo Pride Award recipients.
